Out-Of-The-Office Reminder

This summer, we took an office field trip to Andalusia, the historic Biddle estate on the Delaware River.  (Staff family members were welcome)! The house has noteworthy architecture—including its iconic Greek-revival portico facing the river—and a lovely collection of gardens.  Sections of the house date from the 18th century but the north and south facades were added by Benjamin Latrobe and Thomas Ustick Walter.  The gardens and tree collection took shape over the last two hundred years--with the most recent addition less than five years old and designed by Lady Arabella Lennox-Boyd.  We were delighted by botanical surprises throughout the gardens and enjoyed the experience of discovering each garden room.
